Mrs W was injured when she hit her head on an unguarded spike at her place of work. The spike was there because her work equipment had changed and the housing for the previous equipment had been left in place. She suffered a deep cut to her scalp.

A detailed letter of claim was sent to the employer, as a result of which liability was admitted.

We obtained specialist medical evidence from a consultant plastic surgeon.
